Our Story
Barke Scaffolding is a family run business covering all area’s within east Essex and Suffolk. True to this, the business has been through a generation being passed from father to son, and now is owned by Jake and Rebecca Barke.
We provide our scaffolding service to clients mainly within a 30 mile radius of Ipswich, Suffolk. We focus mainly on small to medium size renovations, new builds and are also heavily involved in the refurbishment of schools and council properties.
We are extremely health and safety conscious and are continually focusing on the training of our team so that we are keeping up with industry regulations. Our team is fully qualified, holding CITB qualified scaffolding cards and CSCS health and safety cards. We also hold DBS police checked certificates.
We are located within the Suffolk Water Park in Bramford, and we are looking to gain more support and custom from local villages such as Capel St Mary, Claydon, Hadleigh etc.
Barke Scaffolding Ltd was established in 2007 by father and son Jason & Jake Barke. Over the last 18 years of building our customer base one of our biggest achievements is our reputation. Any of our customers will vouch for our reliability, professionalism and having a genuinely nice team.
During this time, we worked heavily with Suffolk and Essex County councils and several schools across Suffolk as well as helping countless domestic customers looking to improve their homes.
In 2017 we moved our business yard to the village of Bentley, to be more central between Ipswich and Colchester where our clients are based.
In 2018 Jake and Rebecca Barke bought the business and took the firm Limited.
At the start of 2022 we moved to our current premises in Bramford, where we work from with our dedicated team of scaffolders and office staff.
