Our Work

Our Work

We provide scaffolds to the Domestic, Commercial & Industrial sectors.

We work across all three sectors with needs ranging from helping homeowners with essential repairs to their homes, to working on highly regulated tier 1 COMAH (control of major accident hazards) industrial sites.

We truly provide a complete scaffolding service for any person or company.

Our Services

Our services cover the supply, erection and dismantle of any scaffodling requirement you have.

Planning & Design

We will plan and design the perfect scaffold to meet your individual needs. With 20 years of experience and a fully trained team of staff, we will plan and design your scaffold to meet with the NASC safety standards.

Birdcage Scaffolding

A ‘Birdcage’ in scaffolding terms is an internal scaffold which is used for high level works including ceilings and walls. Barke Scaffolding is happy to design and install a birdcage to suit your needs.

Erecting & Dismantling

Do you require scaffolding to access hard to reach areas of your property? Or maybe you are having a building constructed and scaffolding is required. We are here to help!

Scaffolding Inspections

Barke Scaffolding uses SMART Scaffolder technology to log and inspect our scaffolds. The beauty of this technology is that after we log the inspection, the software emails out a digital copy to the customer.

Temporary Roofing

Temporary roofing is basically a ‘Tin Hat’ for a building which has no roof and is therefore exposed to the weather. Barke Scaffolding are happy to provide temporary roofing for any structure.

Our Addons

Barke Scaffolding also offers a range of scaffolding sundries such as hoists/lifting equipment, loading bays (to store construction equipment) and rubbish chutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our team have put together a list of frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions please feel free to call or email us directly.

How long is a quotation viable for?

Our quotations have a shelf life of one month, but after this time please contact us if you would like to go ahead as the price may still be correct.

What is your minimum hire period?

Six weeks hire is included in the initial quotation unless otherwise stated. During this time you can indeed ask us to dismantle and the price will stay the same.

What happens after the initial six weeks have passed?

The scaffold can stay in situ for as long as you need. After the initial hire period a 5% (before VAT) charge is applicable per week. We normally send an invoice every 4 weeks or before if it is dismantled.

When do I have to pay for my scaffold?

We send out an invoice as soon as the scaffold has been fully erected.

What are your payment terms?

Our payment terms for new customers are 14 days and returning customers 30 days.

Can I pay by card or bank transfer?

We are not set up to accept card payments, so ask for a BACS transfer.

Do I need to be present when the scaffold is erected and dismantled?

As long as we have access to the areas we need to erect or dismantle, you do not need to be present.

What information do I need so that you can provide an accurate quotation?

Not all scaffolds are the same; even those on two identical properties. We have to consider the size and shape of the scaffold, the purpose (we are not just being nosy; one man painting a house will require a lighter scaffold than a roofer putting on a new roof for instance. This of course affects the overall price), how long you need it for, when you need it (rush jobs tend to be more expensive), the location and type of access and finally if there are any obstructions (such as a conservatory, your beloved rose bush or an oil tank). Providing us with this information along with photos gives us a real heads up to your individual needs.
